(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The army killed more than 70 armed rebels in separate military operations in Northern Idlib province today.
Over 30 armed rebels were killed in heavy clashes with the army forces in Abu Zahour in suburban Saraqeb town.
In another military operation, the army killed more than 40 terrorists around Neyrab garrison in Reef (outskirts of) Idlib, and seized 10 handmade bombs from armed rebels after defeating them on Ariha-Saraqeb road.
Meantime, the army repelled the terrorists' all-out attack on Aleppo Airport today.
Terrorists have tried hard in the last few months to make Syrian cities unsafe, specially for citizens, but the army has purged them from most neighborhoods and districts, killed hundreds of them and arrested many more.
Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 with organized attacks by well-armed gangs against Syrian police forces and border guards being reported across the country.
Hundreds of people, including members of the security forces, have been killed, when some protest rallies turned into armed clashes.
The government blames outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorist groups for the deaths, stressing that the unrest is being orchestrated from abroad.
